Republic Diesel, headquartered in Louisville, Ky., has acquired certain of the assets of Center Automotive Machine, in Akron, Ohio.

The new name will be Center Diesel & Machine, a division of Republic Diesel, and will operate at the same location, 274 E. South Street, Akron, Ohio.  In addition, Republic Diesel has locations in Lexington and Prestonsburg, Ky., Jeffersonville, Indiana, and Harrogate, Tenn.

Republic Diesel is an industry leader providing complete diesel engine machining services, undercarriage, driveshafts, yard trucks, and an exclusive line of aftermarket parts for light-, medium-, and heavy-duty truck markets, as well as off highway and industrial equipment, the company says.
