History

Republic Diesel was founded in 1911, in Louisville, KY as Republic Welding Company.  In 1998, the company changed ownership and emerged as a stronger market force, enriching its long standing reputation of quality diesel engine component machining.

Locations

Republic Diesel has four regional facilities serving a nationwide area.  Louisville is the location of our Home Office, main Machine Shop and Warehouse.  Lexington is our second largest facility and is located conveniently off I-64 enabling us to serve a large “over the highway” customer base.  Nestled in the hills of eastern Kentucky, our Prestonsburg branch services the coal industry as well as customers from Pennsylvania to the Carolinas.

Service Routes

While intended to provide convenience for many of our customers, Republic Diesel maintains several routes servicing a wide geographic area, including Kentucky, West Virgina, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee, and Louisiana.  Contact us through our website or give us a call to see if we are now servicing your area.

Machine Shop

Republic Diesel’s machine shop has advanced equipment to machine each of the major components — blocks, crankshafts, camshafts, and cylinder heads.
